What is wrong with my Galaxy S4?

[AC Question]

What is wrong with my Galaxy S4? It will not start correctly. When I take the battery out and put it back in (without pressing the power button), it vibrates once and displays the "Samsung Galaxy S4" screen, only to shut off completely shortly after. The power button is of no use as well.
Please help.

A faulty power switch under the power button perhaps?
A bad SD card?
A failing battery?
