If I were to order an Xperia Z5 from overseas if needed will it work on the Verizon network or does it not have the correct antennas for it?

Welcome to Android Central! It's unlikely. Although Verizon is expanding its Voice Over LTE, it's still a CDMA network at heart, which requires a CDMA radio in the phone. Most international phones are GSM. You might be able to access the web, but you wouldn't be able to make calls.
