Why is my battery life draining so fast lately?

My battery has been draining fast lately even when im not using it. Ive gone into my settings to my battery and made changes. I also went into smart cleaning and cleaned my phone. When i try and go to application manager and go to my running apps i stop them and they start right back up. How do i fix this???
