How do I get my new Samsung Galaxy S4 to read the information from my Galaxy S2 SD card

A

AC Question

I have just got my new phone a Samsung galaxy S4 and put in my SIM ok. Then I put in the old SD card from my Galaxy S2 hoping it would now contain all my apps from the S2 and could be used on my S$.

But the S4 would not recognise that there were any apps on the SD card.

So I copied all the files off the SD card onto my computer and formatted the SD card in my S4.

I then connected the S4 to my computer and tried to copy the files back into the SD card that was now mounted in my S4. But they would not drop into the CARD directory so I put them in the android sub file hoping the phone would read them.

It still would not recognise the apps tht I have or the photos I have there.

Unfortunately it doesn't work to transfer apps to a new phone via the SD card. The most you could hope for is maybe backing up file folders or other app data, but even then it isn't likely to work properly. Sorry.
