Reset my phone and gallery won't show old pictures (did not delete photos with reset)

I had been having trouble with my phone the past week, and I had to reset my phone a couple times, each time I did not select the option to wipe the storage of pictures, music etc. However after the last reset my phone does not show my pictures in the gallery, even though I can find them in my file manager, and new photos (which do show up in gallery) goto the same folder as all my old photos are in. I am using a one plus one with the latest version of cyanogenmod os and I have tried viewing photos in both the stock apps, Google pictures, and the gallery app. I have also tried downloading SD card rescanner apps, but they do not seem to work. Any help would be appreciated.
