Phone possibily bricked after batter drained (Acer Liquid E3)

AC Question

Hi,

Last night I accidentally lost my phone, finding it this morning. The battery had been completly drained so I put it on charge for a while. When there was some charge in the phone again I turned it on. However, upon turning the phone on all apps would crash and a message stating that 'Unfortunatley the process com.google.process.gapps has stopped'. After turning it on and off a couple of times to try and fix the problem the screen will now not turn on and the red charging light is stuck on even when not charging.

I attempted a factory reset but my phone is in usb storage mode so cannot be seen as a device in the command line via Android Debug Bridge. The phone does not open without being unscrewed and taken apart, which I would only like to do as a last resort, Is there anything I can do or will I need to take it in for repair/replacement?

Thanks for any help you can provide!
