Because of my location att U verse only offers up to 6 megabytes of download speed we're Xfinity offers up to 75 megabytes. I could get there 25 megabytes speed plan for the same price as I'm paying for the 6 megabytes through AT&T

If you can get 25 down from Comcast for the same price you pay for 6 from ATT I would switch.

Wondering why Comcast offers a higher level of speed? Isn't it all the same lines?

I believe Uverse uses fiber optic lines related to the phone system which is different than the dedicated cable used by other providers. How close your house is located to the nearest fiber optic line determines if you can get high speed service or the slower service over regular phone lines. When the Uverse rep. rings the doorbell (about every other week) they always start with the line "We have crews in the area installing high speed fiber optic cable and we thought you would be interested in.................." If you like AT & T you might want to check if there expanding high service into your area. I switched to a cable Internet provider from and it has been great.

They actually don't offer the fiber optic in my area and I can't really move where there have it. My ex wife has Xfinity she is 12 miles further up where att u-verse is virtual non existing and rocks 18mb on average 22 mb at most she pays same amount as I do for speeds up to 25mb to my 6mb..
