How do I get an Android Tablet that overheated to turn on?

I was out in the sun today at a carnival. One second my Android Tablet was working; the next it wasn't. It's been at least 3hours now, and the Tablet will still not turn on. I currently have it charging but still nothing.

Welcome to Android Central! Which tablet? Let it charge on a wall outlet overnight, undisturbed. Then try powering on again in the morning. Press and hold the Power button for at least 10 seconds. If it doesn't turn on, then the battery may have been damaged by the high temps. You'd probably have to bring it to a repair shop to get it replaced (or look for a DIY video on YouTube).
