What would happen if I factory reset through setting on my s3 Gt-i9300 with a custom Rom

So my phone is rooted and has a custom rom. I want to fully wipe back to reset settings to sell. I can fully un-root in SuperSu app, so that's not the problem! How should I factory reset/wipe? Should I do it through the custom recovery or the settings on the phone, and will it therefore get rid of custom recovery and be ready to sell? Thanks

If you factory reset through custom recovery your phone will still have the custom rom and it will also have the custom recovery.

The easiest way is to find out what bootloaders are on the phone... After that flash the same or newer version firmware with Odin.

Once you flashed the firmware go into recovery mode and factory reset.

Now your phone is wiped and back to "out of the box" condition.

Again... Pay attention to what bootloaders are on your phone... You want to flash an equal or newer version firmware.
