How can I stop my phone from sticking an ad for a link that I have sent in a text?

When I send a website address in a text, my android phone will send the text and then add a box with a summary of the linked website with the text message. I do not want anyone or anything altering my texts or reading what web links I send via text... ever! What a ridiculous invasion of privacy! How can I just send a link to a friend via text without the phone reading the URL and placing AN AD for the linked site in my private text?
