Video Recording issue with Samsung Galaxy S4

[AC Question]

Hello All,

I bought used Samsung Galaxy S4. Everything was working fine.
One day couple of video recordings got the issue. The audio was fine but video is totally blank (just showing color lines).

The issue went away with restart. I would like to know if this is just temporary software problem or hardware defect.

Please let me know your thoughts so that I can either keep or return the device.

It really could be either software or hardware. I can't really tell you for sure with the limited info provided.
