HTC One S won't boot. Can I transfer boot files from a functioning One S

A

AC Question

Hey, so the other day my girlfriend's One S ran out of battery completely. When she charged it and tried to start it up it kept getting stuck at the HTC splash screen. I am able to get into the bootloader screen and connect with fastboot, but I can't do anything with ADB. The phone is unrooted, not debugging enabled. I have the same phone with the same operating system and I am wondering if I replace her boot files with those from my phone using fastboot, hopefully without losing any data on her phone. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

P.S. In case it isn't obvious from the question, I really don't know anything about working with androids beyond what I have googled in the last couple of days trying to fix this thing.
