Does not display call in progress unless in dialing screen

[AC Question]

I noticed on a Blu Studio running lollipop. its easy to accidentally place a call but there is no notification a call is active/in progress if Im on a different screen/app.

The result is several times the phone has a voice connection to someone but and the only way you know if when you hear them saying hello.

What I would like is a notification of an active call(s) that remains on the screen. Or at least an option to produce that behaviour.

I'm new to Android so maybe there is a way to do this but it seems like an omission to me.

Welcome to Android Central! There should always be a phone icon in the notification bar if a phone call is in progress and you're not on the phone screen. That's a pretty significant oversight on Blu's part, since it's presumably a problem with their firmware. Are you running the stock firmware, or is it rooted with a custom ROM?
