How do I recover my Peel smart remote ID and password?

I installed the peel smart remote. I have Direct TV with dvr. Every time I try to record a show, it asks for a user ID and password. Then I get, "DITV550 login error" SO FRUSTRATING!!! Then when I try to go to the support page, it tells me it's not available. There is no option anywhere to recover my password. This sucks!
