Samsung S4 on O2. Can I change text configuration to send/receive larger SMS?

Main problem is in sending texts of more than a simple sentence. Longer messages go to MMS automatically and sometimes send (if on data roaming) but mainly fail with a constant send loop, the old egg timer. Incoming texts of any length just never get received.

Welcome to the forums. SMS messages are converted at i think 140 characters. There is no way to change that. Have you spoken to your carrier, in case it is a SIM issue?
