My Droid Razr HD suffered from water damage (I suspect this is due to back opening of the battery seal, which had some creaks opened in it) and at first, it was just a circular transparent dark spot on the middle of the left side of the screen. The morning after, the top left of the screen was a pinkish purple color, so I decided to do the dry rice thing. In 10 hours, I took it out to see if there had been any progress, this time the screen was totally purple and had some distortions all over. I left in the rice for 18 hours the next day, and the distortion was worsened. You could barely make of anything on the screen. I pulled out the back of the phone that sealed the battery but now it won't turn on. Should I just leave it in the rice for 48 full hours?

I ordered a Moto G 3rd gen two days before the incident, but it says it won't come until 4 weeks and I can't wait that long. Any help?

Welcome to Android Central! The screen is dead--it doesn't recover from something like that. Sorry!
