HTC desire 510 completely stuck on white htc screen, please help.

[AC Question]

i have a htc desire 510 and one morning after it being charged all night i turned it on to it not responding to any of my clicks/touches. i restarted it and it went into a loop of the white screen htc, i factory reset it with the buttons and it did the same thing! so everything i can do just keeps bring me back to the htc screen. yesterday it did work but now it's doing the htc screen thing again because i turned it off. Is it the battery or the phone itself? please help im away from home and i need this fixed!

Welcome to Android Central! See if you can boot into the bootloader by removing the battery first, then reinserting it, and then pressing and holding Power and Vol Down until you see a menu appear. Use the Volume buttons to highlight Recovery, and then select wipe cache partition from the Recovery Menu.

what if when i do recovery there is no cache screen?
