Please Help! Lenovo Tab S8-50F and Google Play.

Hi there. I've screwed up my tablet and really need some help. I have a Lenovo Tab S8-50F operating KitKat 4.4.2 and recently rooted the device. After rooting I uninstalled some apps and mistakenly uninstalled Google Account. Since then, Google Play doesn't work and I have no idea where to go from here. I've reset the device from inside Android but this has done nothing. I've since tried to hard reset but am unable to boot into recovery mode. I've tried multiple combinations of power button and volume but all it does is present a black screen or at best presents a black screen with the notification "Fastboot Starting..." which remains at this point without ever proceeding. I've uninstalled Google Play and Google Services and reinstalled via APK to no avail. If I could return to a working Google Play I would be happy. Ideally I would like to boot into recovery and completely reset the device. If anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the forums. You might have to reflash the stock ROM in order to get Play services working again. Have you looked on XDA for the files?

I've looked on XDA but it doesn't have the ROM for my device. The device isn't rooted either and I can't seem to root it via APK. Will I need a rooted device to reinstall the stock ROM?

Root isn't needed, but if the files aren't available, flashing the ROM can't be done. Not sure what else to suggest. Sorry.
