Music cannot be found anywhere but can be played via music player?

Hi guys,

Just recently I was transferring new songs into my phone, but noticed that my 'music' folder on my sd card contains only 200+ songs, compared to the 500+ listed in my music player thru my phone.
Also, there are some songs that are missing in the file manager and searching using my computer thru USB.
Despite that, the music player still managed to play the songs that were missing in full.
I also dropped my phone quite a couple of times, is that the cause?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? How were you transferring the music files? Are they in the Music folder in Internal Storage? The easiest way to look will be to connect the phone to your computer via USB and use Windows Explorer to look around.
