Why cant my caller hear me but i can hear them fine

Anytime I am in a phone call the color on the other end cannot hear me but I can hear them fine what is the problem

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Can they hear you if you use speakerphone, or wired/Bluetooth headsets? If so, then your primary mic is either broken or blocked by debris. Check the mic opening to make sure it's clear.
