I had problems with my Galaxy 5 so I got a replacement from my carrier. Usually, the store reps have transferred all the data for me into my new phone but this time I had not help so after I downloaded what I could from my carrier's cloud and my gmail account, I have ended up with up 44 entries for my each of my contacts (their names are listed many times) I can manually delete them but it is a very time consuming process even after linking. Manage similar accounts only lets you choose up to 10 names at a time, and when the same contact is listed at least 30 times - it becomes a very tedious process.
If you know of a way to manage contacts that is less time consuming I'd appreciate the info.

    Thank you

    BJ

It sounds like you have all the contacts in your Gmail contacts. That's good. All you need to do is open Gmail contacts online, click on 'More' then 'Find and merge duplicates' (I think that's it) and let it do the work for you. Resync to the phone and you're good.
