How to get my pictures back?

I have an Alcatel One Touch Evolve, and tried to move some pictures off of my phone onto my Mac so I might could have some storage. Well, they moved to my computer fine, but I now have NO pictures at all, AND it still says that there is no space left on my SD card?? Not to mention that I keep getting these pop-ups from dropbox saying that it is not detecting any new photos (which I get, but why does it keep showing up?) and a notification telling me to eject my device before turning it off/disconnecting. My main thing is how to get my pics back on my phone, how to free up space on my SD card, and why does the dropbox thing and my photo program keep popping up?
