Had those Note 5 for almost a month. In the last couple weeks, something has changed.

Since then, the autobrigtness has been affected. In rooms that aren't well lit, the screen comes on as too dark (and I have the slider near the highest level, with auto brightness checked). I hold the phone towards a brighter light source, and the brightness then is at the level I'd expect it to be in the non-well lit room , and, the brightness then remains at the level for as long as I use it (ie it doesn't dim back down) before I'd lock it again.

Didn't have that issue with my note4, or the first few weeks of the note5. I'd turn off auto brightness, but found that in properly lit rooms, auto brightness being on is better.

Is there anything covering your proximity sensor? Do you have a case on the device?
