I can't backup my S6 Active to Macbook Pro

I had an S5 before and Kies worked great, now it insists I use Smartswitch, but that is not what I want. I need to be able to backup my phone (contacts, photos, etc) to a computer. Also, I want to move info from my computer to the phone. Smartswitch only wants to import from another iOS device.

You can download Smart Switch specifically for Mac. I use a MacBook Pro and I use the app for the Mac to backup my Sammies because I often swap between them.

I have Smartswitch for Mac, but all it wants to do is transfer data from iOS device (iPod). With Kies I could easily backup my phone.
