My HTC Wildfire S won´t charge and USB not recognizing.

This is the first time this happens, even if plugged in to a charger, the phone won´t charge, the red light that used to glow when charging doesn´t. My PC won´t even recognize the phone via usb, this has never occured before. I thought it was a battery issue, but since my PC won´t recognize it anymore, it must be something else? I have loads of information in there, and only 1% battery left, what to do?

Welcome to Android Central! The microUSB port may have failed. Look at it closely--is the pin bent, or is there any debris lodge in there? Either way, you'd have to bring it to a repair shop to check it out.
