LG L Style II touchscreen not working

[AC Question]

I recently got an LG L Style II for free ( ) and, after powering it up I noticed that the touchscreen was not working, while the buttons worked. I tried rebooting it, pulling out the battery and holding down the power button , pressing on the screen and going into Safe Mode, but the touchscreen still wasn't functioning. I hope I can make this phone work, as I have some plans for it.

Welcome to Android Central! Maybe that's why it was free.:-\ It sounds like the touchscreen is faulty, and would probably need to be replaced.

Thanks! I don't want to pay for it. Is there anything I can do to fix the problem?

You could look on YouTube for a DIY video on how to replace the touchscreen yourself. But you'd still have to purchase the replacement screen.

Well, I'm not going to spend for that phone. It still is a great phone that is actually quite modern...
I am probably going to throw it away ......not before having a little bit of fun with it
