dock connected and power share

Need help.
My daughter's phone (galaxy s4) has started to give her these two messages when she tries to charge her phone
Dock connected and also the power sharing pop up keeps happening
Her charger seems fine as I just used it to charge my phone
She hasn't downloaded any new apps or updated her phone recently

Welcome to Android Central! Does her phone have the Samsung Power Share app installed? If so, go to the App Manager and see if you can uninstall it, or at least disable it. If you're able to, see if the problem persists. If it does, I'd wonder if there's a problem with the microUSB port, where it thinks it's connecting to a dock and/or a Power Share cable, when it clearly isn't. Check the port to make sure there's no debris in there, and that the pins aren't damaged.

I looked thru her apps and didn't see it..her charging port looks fine as well. Maybe it's a piece of dust I can't see? I've read canned air might do the trick

Yes, compressed air might help. If the port is completely clean and it's still doing that, try other cables. If it just doesn't go away, the port might have to be replaced.

I did a soft reset and it seems to be working fine now
Still wish I knew what caused it to begin with
