    In order for it to be located it needs to be on, even if it is registered with Samsung. You can also try http://google.com/android/devicemanager but that also requires that the device be on and connected to a network.

    What do you mean that it "is automatically switched off"? I don't see any settings for turning the device off completely automatically (I have the same device), only for the screen to turn off.
