    Basically when I'm about to touch something the phone sometimes touches it before i touch it often resulting in double taps on letters or unwanted thing being opened
    Whats going on? its driving me insane..

    Welcome to Android Central! I'm not entirely sure about this, but if your finger is more charged up than usual (e.g., if you've built up a static electrical charge after rubbing on a carpet or upholstery), it might trigger a touch without even physically touching the screen, due to the alteration in the electrical field from your charge. Does this happen if you've completely discharged any static electrical buildup in your body (i.e., by touching a metal object that's grounded)?

    What phone did you have before?? I had the 6sp and it wasn't as sensitive and didn't recognize nail presses whereas the note 5 would. Perhaps that is what you are experiencing?
