How can I resolve "LGSmartCover has stopped" on my LG G4?

After the last OS upgrade to my LG G4, I am now getting "Unfortunately, LGSmartCover has stopped". I do have the smart cover installed on the phone and it worked fine until the update. Any way to fix it?

Try Settings, Storage, Cached Data, clear the cache, then do a Power Off And Restart.

Same problem here. Get same error. Mine comes on constantly.

I got mine working Go into Apps; All: find LGSmartCover, Force stop and restart phone. That's what cured mine. Hope it works for you I actually took the cover off then I went and force stopped it, put cover on and start phone.

Haven't found a good solution for this yet. Force stop didn't help me. May do factory reset next I guess.

I didn't try a reset yet... Just would really rather not. Still just living with the issue.

I pulled the trigger and finally reset the phone...It did clear the error, happy to be done with that.
