My Samsung Galaxy Note 4's battery was at 5 % it increased to 12 % in 5hrs how did it happen?

Is this a issue with the battery. Is my battery fine? I didnt use it for almost 5 hours my phone's battery had increased to 12%. How did this happen?

Welcome to Android Central! I assume it wasn't plugged in anywhere, correct?

Has the battery otherwise been behaving oddly? It might just be an issue with the battery monitor software. You can try calibrating it by charging up to 100%, using it until it shuts off, and then repeating the cycle about 3 times. Then see if the battery stats make more sense.
