In my old version of android on my Nexus 5 I could go to settings and then apps and had a couple of options "installed" or "running". This was great because if I selected running I could see which apps were still operating in the background and if I didn't need them I would "Force Stop".
The new Android 6 Marshmallow does not seem to allow you to view which apps are currently running on your device or I am missing something. Does anyone know how to see running applications and not just a list of installed ones....???
