My Hudl 2 won't wake up

[AC Question]

When I press the lock button, the screen flashes a dim blue colour and then goes black again. I didn't damage it in any way, I just locked it for 5 minutes, went back to it, and it won't work. I can't take the back off to take the battery out and I can't turn it off and it's takes ages to run out of battery because it's not being used.

I can't hard reset, needs to be turned off to run a hard reset.
