I think i habe gained the Find For Fun Virus. Help.

AC Question

Well, I hate admit how I got it, but I got a virus. At least, I think I did. It started off with pop ups randomly from the app store. Usually from poker games, which I don't play. Then my browser started opening up randomly to things like fake Facebook adds and contests. Now it just says 'you have a virus.' I recently copied the link, and it was not a real site, it just looks like one. The website is called find for fun.

I would love some help. Thank you.

Welcome to Android Central! It's hard to say if that's really a virus, or if it's just some annoying adware. Have you already scanned with reliable antivirus apps like Malwarebytes or Lookout? If that didn't help, then try uninstalling apps one by one--concentrate on games (especially ones that are knockoffs of popular paid games or gambing games), "RAM boosters," or porn. Sometimes you have to uninstall lots of apps until it goes away. The other approach is to do a factory reset (after backing up or syncing your data), then after the Setup Wizard is done, go immediately to the Play Store and stop any app from automatically installing. See if the problem persists, and if it doesn't, start reinstalling apps slowly, one by one.
