I have a Virgin Mobile HTC Desire 510. There is an app I somehow downloaded called SecureDroid that is causing my phone to have pop up ads (no matter what I am doing) every 45 seconds, it has been causing this blue screen with a buffering symbol multiple times and the only way to exit out is by restarting my phone, and every time I open a web page it brings up this random blank tab with a weird web address.
I have tried a hard reset and disabling the administrative privileges and then uninstalling it, however the app doesn't have administrative privileges.
I am at a loss!! Help!!
(If it helps, this all happened after my front camera option magically disappeared and I cannot get it to work from any app or setting)

Welcome to Android Central! From where did you download and install this app? When you talk about administrative privileges, are you talking about the Settings>Security>Device Administrators menu?

    Thank you for responding!
The app was downloaded when I was attempting to root my phone, but it was a a bad downy link.
And yes, the security device administrator privileges.

The issue started after I reset my phone when it froze. First it was just a pop up randomly every so often, to now being bombarded with these pop ups that take over my whole screen, the weird buffering page, the extra tabs that open themselves when I try to open or view webpages.
Also, I have slowly noticed when I type texts or Facebook messages or even as I type this, my keyboard will freeze randomly.for a minute or two and then reload whatever I am doing.
I can't find hardly any information on this app anywhere.

Hmm, that's concerning. It sounds like you may have inadvertently installed some sort of malware. You may have to do a full factory reset.

Welcome to the forums. It may have been embedded as a system app during the root process. A possible way to get rid of it might be to install Titanium Backup, and delete the app that way.
    B. Diddy likes this.

My phone never was rooted. I was attempting to begin the process but then came across problems.

Sorry for the delay. Aside from reflashing the stock ROM, I am not sure how else to get rid of that app.
