Gallery not working

A

AC Question

When I take a picture with the camera, the photo is displayed in the bottom right corner. Normally when I click it, the pic will be shown in Gallery but now is says there's nothing there. The pic goes to my file and I can see it there, but not in Gallery. When I open Gallery, it says "No Items".

I have done this:

Used Scan Media and Media Library Repair Scanner
I have looked for nomedia hidden files in folders
I have, of course, restarted a number of times
I have cut the DCIM folder and repasted
I have installed QuickPic, but I want to be able to click in the bottom right to see the pic immediately

Any suggestions on other things to do? Gallery is not listed in the Google account section in settings - is that significant?

Thanks for any help you all can give.

Sorry it took so long to get back to you.

I have a Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet and my pics are stored on the internal storage although I do have a SD card installed.

In the mean time I have talked with Samsung, however their only solution is to do a factory reset, but I'm loathe to do that. Is there any other solution? If not, is there a way in which I can have the camera app automatically call up my new QuickPic app INSTEAD of the Gallery app?

Thanks for your help.
