what can I do when my phone tells me:"Google play has unfortunately stopped"?

I can't access YouTube and other downloads do to this issue. What can I do to fix it?

Welcome to Android Central! Which phone? Is it telling you Google Play Services has stopped?

Hey there.....I'm having the same issues, my Samsung S738 won't let me do anything. Tried update, etc....really getting P! O'd! over it.; sucks not being able to use my phone and this is my main contact. HELP ME!!!

Welcome to Android Central! Same question to you--is it Google Play Services that is stopping, or some other Google Play component?
