Videos from Note 4 will not play on laptop

[AC Question]

I shoot a video and no matter how long it is or size of file, soon as I open it on my (not the best laptop) it freezes up and then says Win media player encountered a problem and then I have to close the file. I tried playing the Mp4 in MPC-HC and all it did was play it in slo mo with no sound.

I tried bringing the video quality lower and same thing

Any suggestions?

Welcome to Android Central! Is the video saving to Internal Storage or the microSD card? If the latter, the card might be corrupt, thus corrupting the video file. Try a different card, or try saving the video to Internal Storage before transferring it to the computer.
