I just bought a ‘refurbished’ Note 3 on the Verizon network and am very frustrated with the phone. Often, when launching an app or doing other simple things all I get is a blank screen with the spinning circle. I just launched Play Store and selected ‘My apps and games’ and several minutes later I still have the blank screen and the spinning circle. When updating apps from the Play Store I get ‘downloading’ with the sliding bar but don’t see the file size or the download progress. It might take 5 minutes to update an app that should complete in less than a minute. I’ll open apps and I’ll get blank screens or messages saying ‘there is a problem connecting’…
    Any ideas?

Welcome to Android Central! Try wiping the cache partition: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11017. (I realize you just got the phone, but this is a harmless thing to try.)

If that doesn't help, see if the problems persist in Safe Mode: https://support.t-mobile.com/docs/DOC-11473
