My HTC Desire C has a dead spot on the screen

The lower portion of the screen is unresponsive! This suddenly happened one day, and I've tried everything. Restarting it, taking out the SD and SIM card, RESETTING THE PHONE, etc. The lower half still isn't responding. Any other solutions?

Welcome to Android Central! If you turn it to landscape orientation in an app, does the same part of the screen remain unresponsive, or does it shift to become relative to the orientation? If the same part remains unresponsive, then the digitizer is faulty, and needs to be replaced. Is the phone still under warranty?
