Why is GS4 Active screen so dim?

Hey guys. So today some weird things have been happening with my phone. First off, grey-ish lines starting appearing on my screen out of no where, and would make it impossible to do anything. I would need to press the button on the side, wait a few minutes and then turn it back on in order for it to work. This happened a few weeks ago too and I thought nothing of it, but it came back again. As I write this, it is not happening anymore. Instead, my screen is dimmer than usual and I have auto-brightness off and have brightness on the max settings. I saw a post to turn off auto adjust screen tone, but I don't know where that is under settings. Please help if you have any advice. Thanks!

Welcome to Android Central! It sounds more like the screen is faulty (based on your description of those greyish lines). Bring it to a repair shop.
