How do I minimize apps running in background on Galaxy S6

The battery life of my new Galaxy S6 doesn't seem to last very long. I charged it two times in one day. How do I find out what is running in the background that I may want to close in order to extend battery life? I already changed to Power Saving mode.

Open system settings > battery. Take a look at the top apps and services using the most battery and if necessary, adjust the sync/wake intervals. If you want to attach a screen shot we can try help you troubleshoot and see if apps are the problem, or if the issue is possibly related to something else (i.e. poor data connectivity).
