How to remove email account under Android 6

[AC Question]

Hi,

Running the Android 6.0 with Nov 1st 2015 security patch on a Nexus 5 phone.

I cannot find how to delete an email account (!). The following link (which apparently I cannot post because the forum mistakenly thinks I am spamming because I want to include a link to Google's help page..!) is clearly outdated since when I go to my accounts, I don't see a "Remove account" under the "..." menu.

Can someone point me in the right direction for how to remove an account (the reason why I want to remove it is because my hotmail account seems to be stuck in a funky loop that drains my battery for constantly checking and failing to retrieve emails. I want to delete and re-add that account to fix it).

Hi, while in email, swipe left to reveal the side menu. At the top you'll have your email add, select it then select manage account. From there you should be able to delete an account. Bare in mind I have Android 5.1.1 but I wouldn't imagine the steps would change that much for 6.0
