I shattered my screen and now when i connect it doesnt show on my pc.

My phone is Samsung galaxy s4 i9500. I hear messages and incoming calls but cannot answer them. Phone is charging while it is connected to laptop. I used remote unlock from Samsung to remove the screen lock but cannot do anything further to save my photos and videos from internal memory. I am not sure whether i have turned USB debugging on. Most probably not.

On extra note does USB charging port replacement kit have two different connections for charging and data transfer?

Please help me.
