I have a Tab A 9.7,, and I down loaded a free gps app, but I'm not able to get it to pick up any satellites or show them. Is there some settings that I must have set to have my tab A to work?

What app would this be? Does your GPS work in any other apps such as Google Maps?

Hmm, well I've never used that app. So the GPS can't find your location on any app? Try installing the GPS Test app and see what it says.

So no satellites are being picked up? In the GPS Test app, try tapping the button with three dots on the side of the screen, choose "Clear AGPS" and then "Update AGPS". See if anything changes. If not, it sounds like you might have a faulty GPS antenna.
