I bought an S5 that has been blacklisted, but it works?

i want to know why it works fine when it says its blacklisted, and if it can be tracked by the original owner. i bought it off an acquaintance who as disappeared and i cant get a refund, nor do i want to give the phone up since i found out he found it instead of bought it. i have just rooted the device also.

I'm sorry, but we don't discuss how to get a blacklisted phone to work. Blacklisted phones are typically stolen items, or were never paid off. Thread closed.
