    Yes, either that, or spend a large amount of money to have your app created by people who can do that. Think five-figure amounts, US$.

    Honestly, using such tool may be a good solution. But without technical background, it will be very hard to build a "good" app.
    By "good", i mean a combo of user friendly, speed, scalable implementation (and other criterias but i think you got my point).

    But you know, as the "shadoks" said: the more you fail, greater are your chances to make it work.

    App inventor is a great little platform but it's still not easy. MIT say you can build apps without any knowledge of coding, but it's not really true. You do have to get involved in the logic the underpins coding so if you have no experience in programming then you will probably still find it hard work. Having said that, it might be the best option you have unless you're willing to pay somebody. MIT have many tutorials on line and there are even more videos, so the resources are there if you have the time and patience.
