can't connect to Comcast email acct

never had a problem with email accounts since i got the phone. all day today i've gotten a "couldn't sign in" error. it says my user name or PW are incorrect. neither has been changed and they are correct in the settings. is this a verizon error or a comcast one? any fixes? restarted a couple of times, rechecked credentials, no joy.

Try to sign in from a computer. If you can't, it's a Comcast problem - call them.

If you can, save any emails you don't want to lose, delete the account and create it again.

(Verizon wouldn't have anything to do with it, and the way to show that is to turn mobile data off and use wifi - you'll have the same problem. Verizon just passes whatever data the phone gives it to the internet.)
