Asurion insurance cover water damage?

So my child dropped my phone in a bucket of water, will Asurion insurance cover this? I purchased the phone this past March.

I have it sitting in rice now for 24 hours now ... I tried to turn it on and no success....and I put it back in the rice.

Well, you could call Asurion or Verizon and find out. You can also review the documentation that came a week or 2 after you signed up for it.

Most likely, if you got the equipment protection plan it will be covered, if all you got was an extended warranty it won't be covered but only YOU know what plan you've got.
