Android wifi only handheld devices

AC Question

I am looking for Android handheld devices that would replace iPod touches for use in a classroom setting. In 2011, there was a Galaxy that was wifi only. Does anything like that exist today?

No there is not because it's easy now to just use a small tablet for this or use an old Samsung Galaxy phone as a WiFi only device. I wouldn't mind having a tiny handheld Wifi Android but I guess it would be much cheaper just to use an old phone.

Welcome to Android Central!

You can pick up a cheap a Android phone from Target or Bestbuy. Just put it in airplane mode and then turn on the WiFi. Instant iPod for cheap. Most of them take an SD card as well so you can add on plenty of storage.
